April 13
2019 DoG Street Strut – Williamsburg
9:30am-11:30am
This is a dog-walk benefit, hosted by the Heritage Humane Society, to help raise money for homeless pets. It will be a fun filled morning of family and pet friendly activities. There’s a 2 mile walk, up DoG Street and back. There will also be vendors available, contests and giveaways.
Easter Egg and Toy Hunt – Virginia Beach
– 10am-2pm
Hip-hop down to the Virginia Beach SPCA and collect those eggs! The egg hunt is the for the kids, but there is also a dog toy hunt. Tickets are required, which is $5-$10, but includes 1 family photo with the Easter Bunny. There will also be a bake sale, so bring your sweet tooth. All proceeds go to the VBSPCA. If attending, they ask that you park in the lot across from Holland Park.

Bark in the Park – Norfolk

Are you a Tide’s fan who also has a fur-child? Well, you just hit a home run! Pups can join in on the fun this day and can watch the game with you. Tickets are required and are still considered general, so you will still have assigned seats. Their

12th Annual Pet Lovers Extravaganza – Virginia Beach
Friday the 26th: 12pm-6pm
Saturday the 27th: 9am-6pm
Sunday the 28th: 9am-4:30 pm
Join Care-a-Lot at their main headquarters for this 3day event. There will be over 60 vendors to provide samples and information, (bring a backpack!). This year they will be featuring North American Diving Dogs (NADD). Dogs will have their own activity zones, and kids will be entertained as well since they’ll have a zone too. K9s in Flight will also be there to show off their high flying acrobatic skills. Their fun luring course will also be available. Contests and giveaways will be going on all weekend, so make sure your dog gets in on the action!

Doggy Easter Egg Hunt – Virginia Beach
8am-11am
Here’s another egg-cellent time for Fido! Fulton Bank at Landstown Commons is hosting this event. They’ll be able to sniff and hunt down treats in the field. This is a free event. Enjoy!
11th Annual Cause for Paws – Portsmouth
The Portsmouth Humane Society has this in the books. You can register (at runsignup.com) for their 5k run or 1mile walk, for a fee. There will be live music to keep you entertained and food for purchase. Raffles and activities will be going on and vendors and rescue groups are attending. It’ll be a great day to bring home a new family member.
